Most people with skin aberrations such as pigmented lesions want to mitigate their appearance. Venus Viva skin enhancement system can help remove skin imperfections safely and effectively.
Reger Vein and Skin Specialists, led by the devoted Dr. Gregg Reger, provides Venus Viva and other medical spa treatments to patients in Spring, TX, The Woodlands, and surrounding locations.
How does it Work?
Venus Viva is a combination of both NanoFractional Radio Frequency (RF) and SmartScan technology in a comprehensive system the offers effective outcomes via a process of skin heating that causes minimal discomfort to the patient.
This dermatological procedure removes (ablates) soft tissue and resurfaces the skin. This advanced skin rejuvenation system allows the treatment provider to control ablation and coagulation manually to offer better treatment efficiency and enhanced patient comfort.
Venus Viva employs NanoFractional RF which delivers energy through the epidermis to the dermis. This produces heat and triggers skin change by restoring collagen and stimulating fibroblast. These factors lead to tissue remodeling. Furthermore, the Venus Viva system is “color blind.”
This means that it does have any laser or light allowing it to be appropriate for most skin types and treatment areas. The advantages of this procedure include a decrease in superficial pigmented lesions, acne and other scars, skin looseness, enlarged pores, and uneven texture and tone.
Innovative Treatment System
Venus Viva can help address skin discolorations in many patients as well. The procedure uses a unique treatment head and RF delivery mechanism which allows most of the ablation from the treatment to take place beneath the skin (sublative rejuvenation).
This causes less downtime for the patient, less ablation of surface skin, and improved outcomes in comparison to fractional laser treatments. The tips used in Venus Viva go deep into the skin and impact the underlying tissue rather than eliminating more surface skin and causing harm to the uppermost layer.
The element that makes Venus Viva unique is that the tips have 1,000 pulses and can be reused in following treatments (for the same patient only) in case all pulses are not exhausted in one session. A series of Venus Viva treatments offer the best outcomes. In this series, a minimum of three treatments is administered typically in four to six-week intervals.
For complete effects, multiple treatments are required, and the patient will see progressive improvements from the procedure with results peaking at two to six months after the treatment series is complete. At times, this treatment series can be performed in combination with other procedures such as Venus Freeze to improve Venus Viva effects.
Venus Viva Outcomes
The patient may experience moderate redness and slight inflammation in the treatment area after the Venus Viva treatment. The redness should subside in a few hours while the inflammation may take between 12 to 24 hours to resolve.
In around 24 to 72 hours, the patient will notice tiny pin-point crusts in each ablated area where the electrode treatment pin heads touched the skin. These will exfoliate by themselves, and in the meantime, the patient can apply makeup on these sites.
The patient may require follow-up treatment sessions in the future to maintain the treatment outcomes. These follow-up sessions are offered at reduced rates after the primary treatment package is administered. A majority of patients choose to undergo maintenance treatments every six to 12 months.
